Vampire Facial

VAMPIRE FACIAL

A combination of microneedling and the application of PRP (platelet-rich plasma), the Vampire Facial is one of the most effective aesthetic facial services available today.

Vampire Facial (Microneedle + PRP)

One of the newest procedures in aesthetics is a 2-part process that includes PRP and microneedling called the Vampire Facial. This treatment can:

  • CORRECT HYPERPIGMENTATION

  • TIGHTEN LAX SKIN

  • MINIMIZE FINE LINES AND PORES

  • REDUCE SCARS

The microneedling creates millions of tiny pinpricks or “microwounds” in your skin, triggering a healing response that stimulates your skin’s natural collagen and elastin production. It also makes it easier for your skin to absorb the PRP, which further boosts cell renewal.

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections involve withdrawing a patient’s blood, processing it so only the enriched cells and growth factors remain, and injecting it back into the skin. The treatment can help restore damaged skin, boost the healing process for wounds and injuries (even in tendons, ligaments, muscles, and joints), and serve as an anti-aging solution.

The Vampire Facial Process

Step 1:
Painless blood draw

Step 2:
Blood is run through a centrifuge to separate the platelets which contain healing and growth factors from the red blood cells, creating a concentrated serum that is used to repair and heal tissues.

Step 3:
A numbing agent is applied to the face to keep you comfortable during the procedure.

Step 4:
The PRP is applied topically to the skin and a microneedling device is used to create millions of tiny punctures to the skin. The microneedling device, which contains single-use, sterile needle cartridges, will be moved across your skin in a stamp-like motion. Most devices have an adjustable needle head that customizes the depth of the needle pricks according to your skin type and the part of the face being treated. Usually, the provider will go deep enough into the skin to produce pinpoint bleeding. This triggers collagen production and drives the PRP under the skin’s surface to create a process called “healing cascade.”

Step 5:
The PRP remains on the face for 12 -24 hours while the microwounds heal.

Accuracy and Safety Meets Innovation and Sophistication

What is the Recovery After a Vampire Facial?

After your treatment, you will look and feel like you have a mild sunburn. Your skin will be red, dry, and flaky for up to two weeks after the procedure as the dead skin is being broken up and moisture is allowed to escape. Mild bruising under the eyes is also not uncommon and should fade within a few days. During this time of increased sensitivity, it’s important to use sunscreen and stay out of direct sunlight. You should also avoid wearing makeup for at least two days. Excess exertion should be avoided for a few days following your treatment, but most patients are back to their normal routines within a week.

1. Consultation – 10 minutes

2. Price – Treatment price can range depending on treatment area and the amount of PRP used. Prices can range from $485 for one treatment to $1,200 for three treatments.

3. Treatment time – 45-60 minutes

4. Downtime – Varies based on treatment. Most patients can expect to return to normal activity within 24 hours with normal levels of exercise within 7 days.

5. Results – Treatment can take up to 2 weeks for full results.

6. Duration – It is recommended to do follow up treatments every 3-5 months to continue to improve and heal skins tone, texture, and color. If used for scar treatment, the results are permanent.

Treatment Areas

Though Vampire Facials are most often used on the face, they can also be used to treat the neck, chest, or areas with scarring such as tummy tucks scars on the abdomen, breast augmentation scars, or C-section scars. The more recent the scar, the better the result from the Vampire Facial treatment.
